Leo
Owner and operator of the Golf Performance Academy at Hyatt Hills Golf Complex in Clark, NJ, Leo Tabick learned to play golf at Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn, and has been teaching the game to players of all ages and skill levels for more than 40 years.
Leo served in Vietnam during the 1960s, and when he returned, he earned his Class A membership into the PGA. Since then he has served as Head Professional at several courses in the New York area. Among them are LaTourette Golf Course; Inwood Country Club, Inwood NY; Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course, Bronx, NY; and Lido Golf Club, Lido Beach, NY.
Leo was also the Director of Instruction at the Randalls Island Golf Academy at the Randalls Island Golf Practice Center, New York, NY. He was an Instructor at the "One Move" Golf School, Port Saint Lucie, FL, with Carl Lohren, playing professional Senior PGA, and Gene Borek.
Leo strongly believes that the role of the PGA professional is to make the game easier for an individual to absorb the concepts of golf. There are many approaches to golf; Leo’s approach is to find that one unique swing for each individual he teaches. Leo believes it is his job to help you relax and make sure you know that golf is a game. If you spend a little time practicing the drills and exercises that Leo teaches, and think about golf 15 minutes a day, your game will improve.
